In Part Three of our series examining the throne rooms of Star Wars, we get in the way-back machine and travel to the Prequel Trilogy! We go in-depth examining the High Board Room of the of Otoh Gungan High Council, the Royal Palace throne room in Theed, and Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine's "office" (which we are sure HE considered a throne room). We find a lot of ways to compare and contrast these three distinct rooms, and of course we both "RATE THAT THRONE ROOM." Plus, in Current Events we commiserate over what could have been at Star Wars Celebration 2020 and discuss John Boyega's recent GQ interview.
In Part Two of our series examining the throne rooms of Star Wars, we take a leap forward to the Sequel Trilogy! We take a look at development, production, and the in-universe lore behind Snoke's FABULOUS red room (I mean womb. I mean room), the last of Palps's collection of thrones, and I surprise Collin with some concept art of a manspreading, enthroned Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. And of course we give our personal opinions on each and rate those throne rooms! Plus, in Current Events we discuss the surprise announcement of the upcoming, new Lego Star Wars Holiday Special.
If there's anything Star Wars likes it's a THRONE ROOM! So in Part One of our new series we begin by examining these staples of sovereignty in the Original Trilogy. We take a look at development, production, in-universe lore, and we address important issues like how many thrones does one chancellor/emperor really need? Is a chair required to qualify as a "throne room"? On a scale of 1-10 how would we rate each throne room? How many times can I say the word "dais"? So pull up your own seat of power and settle in for the first part of our seemingly random but also inexplicably necessary deep dive series!

WE ARE BACK. This time with a big ol', space moose-sized episode that has long been churning around in our brains....ALL ABOUT BENDU. We are joined by Collin's dad/my husband, Jeff WIttlich, who is a self-professed lover of Bendu and "Star Wars Rebels". We explore what possibly influenced this mysterious Force being's creation and its interesting origins. We also take a look at Dave Filoni's commentary on Bendu, the character's fascinating words and actions in seasons 2 and 3 of "Star Wars Rebels", and our personal takes and opinions on his better moments. All that plus an interview with Mr. Wittlich and Current Events complete (FINALLY) with theme music!

AHSOKA TANO HAS RETURNED TO OUR SCREENS! And in this episode we welcome our first guest, our daughter/sister, Delaney, to discuss one of her favorite Star Wars characters. We cover the first 3 episodes of Ahsoka's new The Clone Wars story arc. What metaphorical vibes are we picking up? Mythological? When can we buy that blue jumpsuit? Are there Mandalorian switcheroo shenanigans going on? And of course we also made sure to discuss and analyze the final, adorable, uwu episode of Star Wars Roll Out, "Ben Solo and the Bug Hunters"🦋
Will we ever stop talking about Ben Solo/Kylo Ren? Not likely! In this episode we focus on one, Ben Solo, both as an innocent roly-poly baby child and also as we follow his turn to the Dark side becoming angst-ridden Kylo Ren. We begin by musing about Ch 2 of Star Wars Roll Out's "Ben Solo and the Bug Hunters" as we begin a new segment, "It's MetaFORCEical" in which we will explore the metaphorical layers found in Star Wars. What do we know about Roll Out's mastermind creator, Hideo Itoyanagi? Two interviews we found shed some light on him. Next, now that the series is complete, we finally take a deep dive into the BRILLIANTLY written (by Charles Soule) and beautifully drawn (by Will Sliney) comic series "The Rise of Kylo Ren" about which I have....a lot of complicated feelings.
In Star Wars Current Events, OMG THE "STAR WARS: ROLL OUT" BABY BEN SOLO EPISODE HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I dive deeper into that animated short than you probably thought possible, and we speculate on the latest SW rumor. Then, in the main segment, we give our overview of TCW Bad Batch arc. What do "The Wizard of Oz", "Pulp Fiction" and "Twin Peaks" have to do with this arc? How many times did Collin have to yell at me about forgetting the clones' names? What might the future hold for the Bad Batch? We're nervous for them!
In addition, I was graciously invited to livestream with the ladies from Girls with Sabers! We had a great time talking more about the TROS novelization. Here is the link to listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mi06b1Q3pA
Coming to you from Sequesteredville, IL, we decided to dig a little deeper into the TROS novelization by Rae Carson. Does the novel Reylo? If so, how Reylo does it go? Collin is pretty surprised by the answer. Also, In Star Wars Current Events, WE ARE DOING OUR 1ST GIVEAWAY! We have an awesome High Republic poster to giveaway. Listen for details on that. Plus we chat about the TROS digital release, the behind-the-scenes documentary, and more!
